As a preloader, that's what my cars typically look like maybe an hour into my shift. By the end of the day, you're lucky if you can see the floor in any of the cars. Today, all 3 cars were again jammed. One car had more than 300 pieces just for the post office - including about a dozen totes of smalls and 6 bags. And, all were supposed to fit on the 6000 shelf. At the end of the shift, someone normally comes around to bag the smalls. But, that didn't happen (again) today :( I typically would custom load all 3 cars because the load plans were that bad and the drivers, if they followed the plan, would not make their air deliveries on time. Even the cover drivers requested it. Back to this orion stuff - They keep threatening to implement it. But, I don't think it has happened - yet. Just before peak, I was instructed by (I believe) the district manager and some other higher up to load everything, large and small, on the shelf. The only exception was supposed to be hazmats and over 70's. They said that I was supposed to keep the floor clear so the drivers could have access to all their shelves and run their routes using orion. Needless to say, they didn't take too kindly to me laughing out loud at them.
