Policy success is the ACA lives on beyond President Obama, the Iran nuclear deal lives on beyond President Obama, The Dodd Frank financial regulations bill lives on beyond President Obama, The consumer protection agency lives on beyond President Obama, the success of the auto bailouts and the stimulus(even though inadequate)on the economy live on beyond President Obama and many more policies as well live on.

Trump hasn't accomplished anything that will live on beyond his presidency so far. Except for Goursch. So no policy success is an accurate characterization for Trump right now.

I don't know. It is difficult to know what's in peoples' minds, but looking at polling data on where republican voters are on policy issues versus the policy priorities of republicans in Congress, there is a massive disconnect there.
Trump's big messages were jobs, trade, and immigration, but he has done nothing on jobs and trade and on immigration very little but symbolic ICE arrests and a symbolic roll out of an immigration bill that no one even talks about anymore, nothing that will have lasting impact.
And to me given that reality it seems policy success isn't the reason they are supporting Trump or elected republicans.

Illegal immigration is way down from Obama years in a job boom market.
Trade - We'll see. He is canceling bad trade deals left and right. Whether they are renegotiated to better positions for the US is TBD.

Short staccato sentences ... no more than 6 or 7 lines per post.

Trump has done nothing on jobs. Job growth is about the same as it has been in the last 2 or 3 years. So if you love job growth now you should have loved it under President Obama. When Obama was elected President unemployment was over 10% when he left office it was 4.6%.

When Obama was elected President the stock market was in the 8000's when he left office it was over 20000.

Trump has done nothing on trade. TPP was dead before he was elected since no candidate supported it, and NAFTA isn't canceled and from news reports its not going to change much during these negotiation's. And the changes that are on the board for NAFTA make it more like the TPP. Trump has done nothing on trade.
Illegal immigration has been declining for years well before Trump it is a continuation of that trend. Trump has done nothing on immigration.
