I apologize in advance for not using the search function thoroughly.
I keep reading on this board that the probationary period for a new full time package car driver has gone from 30 working days to 60 but I can't seem to find relevant language in the master agreement. Being a CSer, the only relevant information is on the supplement which reads,

Section 1

(a) Probationary employees: a new employee shall work
under the provisions of this Agreement but shall be employed
only on a thirty (30) working day trial basis, during which
period he/she may be discharged without further recourse;
provided however, that the Employer may not discharge or
discipline for the purpose of evading this Agreement or discriminating
against union members. After working thirty (30)
days within a ninety (90) consecutive day period, the employee
shall be placed on the regular seniority list, and his/her
seniority date shall revert back to the first (1st) day of the thirty
(30) day period in which the employee gained seniority.

Somebody more knowledgeable please clarify on this. I appreciate your help.

30 working days. However, if you are disqualified the first go round you may be given a 2nd probationary period...hence, the 60 days. In my neck of the woods, it is very rare to qualify after the 1st 30 day period.

No, I just think it's neat to get anything translated for free & fast on the internet. It's capabilities still amaze me and I understand so little of it.
