Quick application question, locked out before filling out application.

    I searched, but did not find a thread on this topic.

    I am trying to apply for a package handler position, after filling out a quick check list; do I have transportation, can I legally work, etc, I was told I could fill out an application. I clicked continue and was taken to a screen that said my application was complete, and locked, before I could fill it out. Does this mean the position is full or something? Why was I not able to fill out the application?

    This is probably one of those times where posting to the UPS facebook page is the smarter thing to do.

    I doubt they would know these types of answers.

    I would contact your local HR dept, they can fix the issue.

    As I recall, but you really should check with the HR office at the location you are applying to, that happens when your application hits the queue. Sometimes you can click through to complete it and schedule a tour, other times it needs to be reviewed or more positions made available to generate a tour date. You'll probably get an email from HR saying that it is unlocked and you can complete it. To be sure, please go down or call and ask though.
