Usually not, most seasonal people are hired this time of the year for the Christmas rush. Depending where you are, I have heard that there are some resort type areas use seasonal workers only in the Summer or to cover heavy vacation schedules.

You're probably caught up in the freeze like me. I was hired late Aug, but won't make union till January. Just work hard, you'll be alright
