NY Yankee player back in the 50's.
Jerry was the only MLB player to serve in two wars - WWII and Korean.
He was the long-time announcer for the San Diego Padres.

When I was growing up Ken Coleman did the play by play for the Red Sox and Patriots. I was unable to find any info online as to whether the two were related or not.
