Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 3552024" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>I have a former coworker, ex Army, who won't speak to me now because I'm traveling through former Soviet republics.  And others, including family, who think I'm crazy for doing so.  Anthony Bourdain opened my eyes to a lot of these places, made me realize a lot of these places are just trying to better their lives, have left communism behind.  That not all Muslims want to kill me.  But he wasn't a pigeon holed liberal.  He shot guns with Ted Nugent after all.  He seemed more serious the last couple of years but would've never thought he'd do this.  RIP Tony Bourdain, the world was a better place because you were in it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
