Fitness guru Jack LaLanne, who inspired television viewers to trim down and pump iron decades before exercise became a national obsession, has died at age 96.

While part-time, I worked at a hardware store with a 76 year old retired electrician who could still do one-armed push ups. His appearance was that of a 45 year old.

RIP,
We all must pass.
He lived as he believed, to the end.
Few of us can say the same.
Jack inspired millions, upon millions of people, to at least try.
My favorite line was when he would say during his 1950's fitness show;
"Beginner's quit!".
He knew over taxing oneself, in the immediate, would deter them from the long term goal.
UPS corporate should morph the philosophy of three icons of success;
Casey, Carnegie and LaLanne.
