RIP Joe Sample

Sad to hear Joe Sample died.
He was one of my all time favorite jazz artist and his album song "Carmel" has spun on my platter for decades not to mention his work with The Crusaders whose lineup included other favorites Wilton Felder and Wayne Henderson.

I remember that I figured out that The Crusaders was the last vinyl 33 rpm album I bought ... after that it was CD's and downloads.
