MEDFORD NJ -- Troy Gentry, one half of the country music duo Montgomery Gentry, is dead after the helicopter he was in crashed near a small airport here Friday.

Usually don't get too distracted when a musician dies. However I was shocked when I heard this. Montgomery Gentry played a concert at Fort Benning for us when I was a young private in Basic Training. Long story short, if we wanted to go to the concert we had to run the 6 miles round trip to get there. Worth it!
