Seattle Local Help Needed

Will be vacationing in the Pacific NW in May. Need to know if I really need to rent a car to go from sea-tac to downtown seattle to orcas island to vancouver island and back. Will use the ferry system and maybe rent scooters on the islands. Or just rent a car in specific areas instead of the full 10 days? Is there a UPS shrine in Seattle since the company started there? Thanks from Florida.

No shrine, but there is a little UPS park with a waterfall in the Pioneer Square area near where the American Messenger Company started.
There is no mass transit system here to speak of, so yes you would need a car to get around.
