Cuban Airport Secuirty is very relaxing. Not only did I have a can of beer in my hand during boarding, but my carry on luggage also contained 2 bottles of rum (forgot to put those into my checked luggage, but I did buy them in almost the last minute). Once I landed in Calgary, I transformed all fluids into the check in luggage, but forgot I had a small bottle of Maggie (spice), stuffed in my clothes in the carry on. Had to give that up, after airport screening, because it was slightly larger then the 100ml allowed. That sucked, was a brand new, never opened bottle, that I bought here in Edmonton before leaving, incase I needed to spice up the Cuban food. $4.75 gone. But, thats not the point. I could use it at home right now. Smoking was also allowed at the Cuban Airport. They had a store there, all you had to do was buy a beer or 2 for $1.00 each, and then go sit in the large smoking lounge until flight take off. Was neat. Better then the olden days here !
