The "Clean Cut UPSer" is so who we are that it will be a cold day in you know where before beards would ever be allowed... Even on the inside, in the offices, where the only people we see are each other; one of the elements that our yearly raises depend on is how well we dress. For the single moms with a slew of kids who don't have the funds for a nice wardrobe, too bad for her... On the rare occasion I've seen people sent home who rolled out of bed, threw some clothes on and dragged themselves in to work... In management, films are shown that address every article of clothing and the colors your shoes/clothing must be. Hair cuts and facial hair very carefully addressed. But what I've seen in the last few years that really surprised me is the drivers (the dudes in particular) with hair much longer than mine and mine's half way down my back. They whip their pony tails up under their hats and away they go. Never thought I'd ever see that happen... I wish beards were allowed but we are very image oriented. I think well kept mustaches and beards really add to appearances, but you unfortunately can't count on everybody to keep them neat and tidy.
