I had to use all of my sick days for an injury earlier in the year. If I need to call for actually being sick how does that work? Is it just an unpaid day or is it an I excused day

Depends. Managers discretion. Could burn a floating holiday or simply not get paid for a day you absolutely can not get to work.

Depends on how well you and your manager get along. Personal days are an option.

Worst that happens they don’t pay you for the day, not like you’ll get fired for it
