What....is.....the.......first.......regular......scheduled.......day......of......your......job? If it is Monday = Monday through Friday , then Saturday is #6 and Sunday is #7. Pay will be the appropriate level of ot on those days. If it is Tuesday=Tuesday through Saturday! then Sunday is the #6 and Monday is the #7. If it is Sunday=Sunday through Thursday! Friday is the #6 and Saturday is the #7. If you work a 6th or 7th day, voluntarily or by force, you will be paid the appropriate level of ot. Here in my local the day the holiday falls on in your regularly scheduled 5 day workweek still counts as what ever "punch day" it would have been if you had worked it. 1,2,3,4 or 5. If you work day 6 or 7 you would still receive the appropriate level of ot. Here in my local you do not need to work the day before to get the appropriate level of ot on an extra day. For example, I work Mon-Fri, I sign up for Sun ( my 7th ) day, I don't have to work Saturday ( my 6th day ) to get the double time pay that comes with working Sunday. Why? Because it's the 7th day of my workweek regardless. I don't know how to explain it anymore short of interpretive dance so I hope it made sense this time.
