SNEAKY PLAN TO TAX YOU PER MILE YOU DRIVE HIDDEN IN INFRASTRUCTURE BILL!

Fred's Myth

Nonhyphenated American
Yep.

Gas tax is already a per-mile tax on gas cars.

Happy now?
Combined with the fact that this administration has expressed it's desire to make obsolete the IC engine-powered vehicle, it is understandable that they would have to invent a new tax on all those environmentally preferable electric vehicles. The plan isn't to eliminate the gas tax, it's to get rid of gas, period.

Democrats have never met a tax they didn't like.

So this will start draining the wallets of American and they will just blow the money. Roads still will suck. Then they will progressively jack up the cost per mile rate.
We added nearly 10 trillion to the national debt in the last 4 years and nobody bats an eye. Our debt is now 140% of GDP and we continue to purchase 120 billion a month of our own debt. It's insane, but the average person only cares about the price of a gallon of gas and their mortgage rate.

In NJ, it costs about $400 a foot to maintain the State Highways.
Yes, that’s on top of the Turnpike, Parkway and other Toll Roads. Does not include Bridges.
NJ.com has many articles on this.
Not the model of efficiency.
More like unchecked Democrat Corruption!
Let’s keep paying into that!!

All that is true, but EVs are going to largely replace gas over time no matter what government policy is in place.

What will be the predominant fuel to power the generators to charge these EV’s? Or any State Hwy without an Interstate?
Say along Rte 89 in UT?
