Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 4244009" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>Didn't say he was, and I mostly agree with your assessments on most things.  However it doesn't change the fact that most of what we perceive is on face value while the government is privy to intelligence gathering that affects their decisions.  And no matter what they do are criticized and belittled by political opponents.  They may have very well just got intelligence that an ISIS group is preparing to blow up those oilfields.  Does Trump go ahead and leave and risk looking really bad when the oilfields are destroyed?  Or does he go back in and live with ridicule for doing an about face?  The only way he could have won with public sentiment was to have never announced a withdrawal.  He was fulfilling a campaign promise that didn't seem to need fulfilling at the time.</p></blockquote><p></p>
