I've meet both of them, I have never been impressed with either. When I joined Local 728 in the late 70's, I ran around around with the IBT's General Secretary's nephew, so I know Old Guard politics well. This guy was actually the IBT President for a few months and got tossed out in a power play, he was drawing four salaries at the time according to my sources. We have a strong Local in Atlanta, I'm old friends with the president and I know the BAs well. I really don't pay much attention to the national level, we have lost on contracts for decades.
