Taking a road trip

Its that time of year when the wife and I take a 2 or 3 week road trip with our toy hauler and Harley. We are thinking about heading through Tennessee and Kentucky. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do there?

You should stop in Ashville, NC and see the Biltmore. It's in the western part of the state.

Maybe take in a drag race at Bristol Motorspeedway. It's a cool track between two mountains.

Keep the suggestions coming -- we are open to just about everything. We are big history buffs also and enjoy visiting old Civil War sites and small city museums.

If you are in N.C. and near Mooresville, you can visit most of the important NASCAR headquarters of the racing companies on one road.

Been there-done that----(on a guy trip). My wife wouldn't know a racecar from a garbage truck.

You got a bike with you. You should check out Deals Gap. There's a stretch of road called Tail of the Dragon. I haven't gone there yet but it sounds like a blast.

I doubt rod is crazy enough to let his wife wander into a furniture shop while on a road trip.

I plan on spending some time around there. We did the Needles Highway when we were out by Mt. Rushmore a couple of years ago. That's a twisty SOB too.
