A lot of drivers don't even understand how the pension works. How are you getting screwed accepting free $$$
SMH
What if you get fired after you accept the buyout but before your last day??Are they going to take 401k money out of that lump sum?
Many people might be surprised at income tax time.
We had one retire at the end of May and another at the end of June@Wally you sure this isn’t about sour grapes since you missed the buyout
If you take the money and "resign" instead of "retire" it may mess up your health insurance.A lot of drivers don't even understand how the pension works.
They have no clue how much they are going to get per month
Oh yes I see a big 50k+ check
I'm outta here.
And 2017, 70 hour change nationwide. 2025 could set itself up for several circumstantial similarities but there were no PVDs then and they have improved forecasting since then. Overall, I’m not seeing it, but at certain buildings absolutely.2013....

Thsts another question thst nobody truly knows. If you take the money and "resign" instead of "retire" it may mess up your health insurance.

All that proves is screws up can happen no matter what. And be very careful what choice you make. Risk is part of life. This is uncharted territory! My insurance was messed up for months after I retired because some bozo in HR entered resigned instead of retired in my file.
And UPS needs to work on a smoother streamlined retirement process…All that proves is screws up can happen no matter what. And be very careful what choice you make. Risk is part of life. This is uncharted territory!
Twist your ankle on the 30thSo, I got an email back that said my last day will be Oct 31st.

You mean they aren’t going to file a grievance on the free $$$ Like SOBI know of three drivers I used to work with that have already accepted the buy out. Seems like a no brainer if they were already going to retire in the next six months. Take the money and run.
