And they are looking like clowns in the processPretty much what I’ve been saying. The international doesn’t like it, but they’re not going to stop it.
It’s a resignation letter relaxthe Employer agrees not to enter into, or attempt to enter into, any agreement or contract with its employees, either individually or collectively
Some placesThe union handles the retiree heathcare, correct?
Separation dates already being given out I know 2 who’s last days is Aug. 31way to early to tell, we are just guessing- be interesting how it plays out. I have a feeling this whole thing will get delayed into next year anyway.
It’s the sentences before those that are key. There not requiring it.the Employer agrees not to enter into, or attempt to enter into, any agreement or contract with its employees, either individually or collectively

The world is full of inequalities - some of you men are faced with that reality every day taking a leak!you very well could be correct!! we will find out in the end I just see a mess in the future, for the ones that just left miss out like me even tho it's not offered to mechanics, Drivers that wait and get even a bigger amount than the ones that accepted the first offer prior will miss out. Also only doing it on local needs I hear where drivers with 40 years gets turned down and the other building in nearby different local guy has example 30 years gets the buy out. What if driver bid an inside job last year after 35 years of service? I see a huge mess nothing negotiated and lots of legal issues for UPS
It depends. My local still uses the UPS/Aetna for retirees. I had to pay my monthly premium to UPS.The union handles the retiree heathcare, correct?
My understanding is your employment gets terminated whenever it is most convenient for UPSI'm talking with a friend of mine and he says if you take the buyout he can continue to work until Oct 31st when his pension paperwork will be ready. My understanding is if you take it your employment is terminated immediately.

So MYOFB
Appears to be a sweetheart deal for anyone who was going to leave in the next 6 months anyways. Most UPSers are lucky to get a stale Walmart cake to retire. Now you have the opportunity to get $1,800 per year.
Perhaps and maybeYes and no
UPS gets to choose the separation date between August 31st and October 31st. If you can't cover living expenses for a couple of months without a pension deposit then maybe you should not be retiring anyways.I'm talking with a friend of mine and he says if you take the buyout he can continue to work until Oct 31st when his pension paperwork will be ready. My understanding is if you take it your employment is terminated immediately.
