Message: <blockquote data-quote="worldwide" data-source="post: 6153135" data-attributes="member: 2193"><p>It really depends on who the offer is made to, how much time they have with the company, and how happy the person is with their job.  If the driver is close to retirement, then I'd agree it would be dumb to take the offer unless they would also guarantee that the pension and health care stay intact.  If the driver has less than 10 years with the company, it may be worth accepting.  Given the volume situation at UPS and that even more volume (Amazon) will be gone by next year, low seniority drivers are at risk of being bumped.  Wait to see what the offer is and who it is offered to.   My question is, can the Teamsters prevent a driver from accepting an offer from the company to leave?</p></blockquote><p></p>
