Message: <blockquote data-quote="vantexan" data-source="post: 5498229" data-attributes="member: 24302"><p>I really don't think DeSantis has to convince them of that.  Just run on his record and do well in the debates.  If Trump resorts to the bullying/name calling with DeSantis it's likely to backfire.  The only Republican who halfway stood up to Trump in 2016 was Cruz and I think DeSantis would do better in that regard.  What we need assurances of is DeSantis will control the border, lower fuel and grocery costs, get spending down, work with Democrats without giving away the farm as Republicans are known to do.  We need new leadership that concentrates on building an economy that gives people hope for the future.</p></blockquote><p></p>
