Message: <blockquote data-quote="Northbaypkg" data-source="post: 4724692" data-attributes="member: 58387">It trips me out how folks talk about us UPS drivers like we have all these tough performance demands on us.  If you just do your job (like I see most ground drivers doing) this job is easy.  Those demands are only meant to weed out the lard butt, lazy, unmotivated people.  Funny part is, even those guys manage to pass the 30 day probation period by just busting their butt during that time.  Then once they are in, the union will protect their sorry behinds from most discipline that the sups can throw at them.  As for ground drivers not wanting to switch to UPS, I can understand it, but not for being scared of performance demands.  They should be wary of switching because they won't immediately be a driver and will only be doing part time hub work while they wait their turn.</blockquote>
