I believe in helping Charities, but I prefer Red Cross, the Veterans, Food Banks, and Salvation Army, I donate to United Way, but only a few bucks,.....

I was also given a UW polo shirt for 10 or more years of Leadership giving.

Yet some of you can't do a $1 one time donation.

First off when you give to United Way thru UPS your money goes to your local United Way, not national. UPS also matches 15% of whatever you donate. The .09 on the dollar going to the charities is not even close. If you want real numbers you can checkout charitynavigator.org
