[QUOTE="vantexan, post: 3945719, member: 24302"] I'm sorry you are struggling in retirement. Or can you retire yet? I'll write this again. Recently did a cost comparison between the cities of Armenia, Colombia and Overland Park, KS on the website Numbeo. My $1840 pension in Armenia is the equivalent of $5300 a month in take home pay in Overland Park. And that will afford me a lifestyle I could never hope to have in the U.S. on my pension. With my retiree airline discount I flew to Bogota from Orlando for $104. And found a nice restaurant down the street that serves an excellent daily special for 8000 Pesos. That's about $2.56. Going in March to Colombia's adventure capital, San Gil. I'm not a fan of huge cities and Bogota is over 10 million. But the people here are very nice for such a big city, but I prefer to walk everywhere and San Gil at 43,000 is more my speed. And because of tourism has a lot of choice in restaurants and is surrounded by beautiful nature and very pretty small towns. Yeah, I've got it bad. Don't come here, you'll hate not having to suffer.
