The Night Before Elections

'Twas the night before elections

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
**
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
**
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
**
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
**
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
**
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
**
' On Fannie , on Freddie ,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
**

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
**
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Ponder this when going to the polls.

Change . Change ... Change !

Not long ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people. We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.

Funny?

Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny.

That got me to thinking ... They all promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change. A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable. Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.

We used to have a strong dollar ... Politicians changed that.

Life used to be sacred ... Politicians changed that.

Marriage used to be sacred ... Politicians are changing that.

We used to be respected around the world ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have a strong manufacturing economy ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have lower tax structures ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enjoy more freedoms ... Politicians changed that.

We used to be a large exporter of American made goods ... Politicians changed that.

We used to be an openly Christian nation ... Politicians changed that.

We used to teach patriotism in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to educate children in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enjoy freedom of speech ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have affordable food & gas prices ... Politicians changed that, too. ... and one could go on and on with this list.

What hasn't been changed, politicians are promising to change that as well if you will elect them.

When, oh when, is America going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once were and where we have come and say, enough is enough?

The trouble is, America 's youthful voters today don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now..

When will we wake up? Tomorrow may be too late. When will America realize ...Politicians are what is wrong with America ?

Political poem of the day

America the beautiful
or so you used to be
not looking quite so pretty now
not feeling very free
Starting wars based on lies
and cherry picking information
We really shouldn’t be surprised
at this inept administration
They dropped the bombs with shock and awe
and killed lots of innocent people
but that’s ok with the religious right
who meet Sundays under a steeple
Bush was hellbent on gaining revenge
he shouted from atop the rubble
Little did we know at the time he was planning
to get us in all sorts of trouble
They made up some “facts” and told us they knew
that Iraq was the party to blame
When the facts didn’t fit, they blamed the CIA
and outed officer Plame
They decided the people were threats to them all
so they took our freedoms away
They can listen to our calls , open our mail
without warrants or even our say
They never had reason to worry about law
they’d ignore it or else simply change it
No one was willing to stand up in court
and fight these guys in the Washington snake pit
But battles are brewing all over the land
as the Dems are now growing a spine
Where have they been? We needed them bad
America says it’s about time
A nation of people has stood by in silence
and let thugs hijack our land
but now their eyes are starting to open
and their brains are beginning to understand
I hope that they have some really good lawyers
cause they will be needing them big time
unless they have changed the laws once again
and treason is no longer a crime
And here we have a canidate named John McCain
who promises eveything 90% of the same
Drill baby Drill as if thats the answer
ignoring the warnings of global warming cancer
So now here we sit on the eve of elections
think real good and hard about your slection.

What's LBJ and the Vietnam War got to do with this election?
