It has less to do with a monetary system and more to do with the genetics of our people. We maintain civilization while others live in squalor, because they simply cannot maintain it. Genetics, environmental factors, whatever it may be. Sun Saharan Africans didn’t even have a single written language when we arrived to colonize it in the 1800s.
