I'd like this to be less of thread about the day-to-day, and more about creating a good career at UPS (or somewhere else, if need be).
I know this job has a reputation for basically taking over every waking hour, so what is the best way to make sure you get some semblance of work-life balance? Is there a path you took that you'd recommend, or a different choice you would've made now?
For reference, I'm an off-the-street hire seasonal driver in my mid-30s with a degree (but a checkered past). I've read a bit about 9.5 lists and PT air drivers, but I don't really know what these are. Working my way through the contract now, but also not even sure if I should be worrying about that before I get my 30 days in.
