Talked to a retiree recently. He heard that the retiree health costs are going up and the pension for new retirees is going up. We have union healthcare through our local which isn't voted on in our contract and we are not in the UPS/IBT pension plan so as of now our pension stays the same. It's all in the details.

TDU? Because they are the cause of it. They post that 9.5 language has become weaker. There was not one reduction in 9.5 language. Only enhancements. This is only one example. No wonder why your group has only 4000 out of 1.4 million.

Exactly right! I was saying it from the beginning, we should never have been "browned out" from negotiations. Now.... they are able to control and manipulate the understanding of this agreement as we all scramble to sort out rumors from truths.

The surplus is about a half a year of expenses. I could be misinformed though.
