Tote boxes....

Am i the only one that thinks we should have plenty of these things.
For some reason our center is always out of them. I end up using a USPS plastic container, which begs the question, how are we getting these.
UPS stresses using tools and containerizing smalls........i ask you.....how?
This probably is not a problem in other centers i just wanted to rant.

We've been out of tote boxes for over a month, so they told us to use DR bags. Oh Yeah! We have been out of DR bags for almost a week and don't expect any in till mid next week.

We seem to have plenty of Tote Boxes. In fact we got a couple of pallets of the big size ones a few weeks ago that are orange-colored. I prefer the old Totes that are smaller in size. We have a few of the smaller USPS white ones too. I normally fill my Tote with NDA in the morning and then use it for a trash can the rest of the day. The Trash Can under the drivers seat is useless to throw paper in, the wind blows the paper out going down the road. Then I containerize my smalls in them at the end of the day.

Scratch, that is exactly what i do. I think i am more miffed that i dont have my portable trash can than i am about being worried about containerizing my smalls.

We have plenty of totes but they have been pushing us more to use forever bags. I use 1 tote per day if I remember to grab one.

The trash can under the seat is good to keep your tire chains in.(I imagine you use those often in Georgia)

But there must be a totebox heaven somewhere. We get pallets of them in and about a month later, they're gone. Another month follows and you can't find a totebox to save your life. Maybe somebody's stealing them. They then sell them back to UPS when we run low. I bet you that somewhere out there, somebody's got a garage full of tote boxes.

Wow, i cant even imagine. Here in S.C. it is nice and warm pretty much year round. I'm going fishing tomorrow, and im going to keep my catch cold and on ice in the tote boxes that i have helped myself to.

Ah yes, the good old USPS tote, the ones that say "property of usps" on the side of it, the ones that were not supposed to be in the building after 9/11 (anthrax threats at the post offices) but were plentiful abound after 9/11 (so much for safety) the ones that damages get put into and then leak at the bottom corners. Never heard of them, lol.

The trash can in my truck got sucked out of the door one day when I was driving down the by-pass at 100km/h with both doors open last summer.

I'm on my third one in a two-year old P7. My mechanic finally fixed this problem by installing a cable from the garbage can to my seatbelt bracket. Only my Cover Driver ever uses it. One time, somebody took my empty trash can and replaced it with a full one from another car. I have never figured that one out.

We go through phases with the tote boxes here also. One month we have plenty, next month we have none. Scratch, I think those red totes are damage totes and are not to be used for smalls. We had a PCM about it a week or two ago and we were instructed not to use them. Of course I've seen them at the air belt, on the box lines and even at one of my pickups. (How'd that get there???!!:happy-very:)

I use a USPS tote to store my newspaper, my cleaning supplies (yes, I clean my dash, windows and cab when I have time), and UPS ASDs.

I had this happen last year. When I told my mechanic about it he jsut looked at me and laughed and said, "Where? the South Bridge?" Turns out we lose alot of trash cans there. he got me a new trash can the next day.

In our new P7's there is a metal clip that folds down and holds the trash can in place. Very good thing on the manufacturer's part.
