training for new casual driver?

How long does this take, i feel im comfy with the diad, but they never really let me drive. The guy im with says we gotta finish the route in time so he has to drive...How have you guys gotten trained, and how long did it take?

This is some typical management crap they pull when training. Went through training before, and now retraining because it was more than one year. But if I recall correctly management will try to load the car like a damn near normal route, mark it as training, but then if it comes through at a semi normal rate, it's gravy.
