Trucking donations go to GOP candidates in '06 - etrucker

As in previous election cycles, trucking organizations and fleets strongly favor Republican candidates in 2006, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a non-partisan, non-profit research group that tracks political contributions.

Great so they can repeal more laws that protect the workers. The Republicans repealed the repetative motion and ergonomic laws that Clinton passed. Those are preventative measures that reduce injuries and accidents. The initial costs are high but could have been fased in slowly. The return is fewer worker's comp injuries and accidents as well as reduced insurance costs and lawsuits. Sounds like a win win.
