Contractors ,you might want to take a look at Trump's tweet this morning regarding Bezos and the rate that he's getting from USPS to haul his boxes. To better understand what could be a legitimate gripe on Trump's part log on to CNBC's explanation of the matter.

Bezos is a dog turd but he negotiated a contract that was great for him and crap for the USPS. It's what he does. Maybe the Donald should look at whomever the USPS has to negotiate such deals. They shouldn't get to walk away from it though.

Can the usps even negotiate their parcel price or is it fixed by congress like the cost of a stamp? Either way cheap shipping for Amazon makes their goods cheaper for the end consumer. Why does Donald want to raise the cost of goods?

Here's the issue. USPS has a monopoly on first class letters. Now some are saying that the monopoly on letters creates an artificially high profit margin that allows USPS to subsidize it's box rates allowing it to undercut it's competitors. Granted, USPS shipping rates are regulated along with a lot of other regulations exclusive to USPS and the letter business is down this year 3% while it's parcel business is up 10%.Granted Trump has it in for Bezos. Perhaps because Bezos is the richest man in the world and Trump isn't. At the same time if Bezos corporation is making a killing while at the same time the vital USPS is hanging on by a thread perhaps Bezos cut rate shipping contract should be examined .

No one made the usps take the deal. They chose to, so I'm guessing they make money on it. They should have good leverage though, Bezos isn't heading out to the sticks to deliver his own stuff.

Some people on here seem to think Amazon trucks deliver everywhere. They also think every post in every thread here is racist.

Some people even think its cold in Minnesota.
They might be right for New years Eve . Apparently the weatherman is predicting a brutally cold evening. Then its suppose to warm up in the teens. That's going to feel tropical.

He's only going to take the easy in town stuff while dumping the money losing boonie boxes onto USPS. Might be a different story when his contract is up for renewal.

At the USPS, many rural "boonie" areas are classified as 'Star Routes'. For many years, the post office has hired contractors (ordinary citizen in a personally owned vehicle) to service these areas on an every other day basis. And yes, the post office pays and treats these people like garbage.
