That happens with Cigna as well.Had a colonoscopy in March, found two polyps so became diagnostic. Out of pocket was 2k plus lab and anesthesiologists bill so about 2700 total. My deductible is met, lol.
It is what it is, I haven’t had to fight over a claim yet so will see how it goes rest of year.
I'm glad I stayed with Cigna. And that's not saying much. Although we haven't had to really use it beyond regular doctor visits.
Wife’s MRI was denied because the X-ray United paid for in the previous claim couldn’t be found in the doctor’s notes. They needed proof that protocol was being followed. Their own records weren’t sufficient.

Good chance all future colonoscopies will be coded diagnostic as well.Yea, diagnostic you gotta pay more.
No. He means he’s glad FedEx allowed us to keep Cigna in our area and didn’t have the UHC option. We had a choice?
Reading a book, never pay the first bill, Has good advice on how to challenge a bill you feel is wrong, not right etc. If Dr advised MRI. Seems they could talk to insurer about it.
What is the book?

We had the option here. The choices for 2020 were Anthem/Blue Cross or Cigna. This year they dropped Anthem for United but you could stay with Cigna so I did. I guess it was a regional thing.No. He means he’s glad FedEx allowed us to keep Cigna in our area and didn’t have the UHC option.
