UPS company policy in regards to safe trucks. I am a retired UPS mechanic.By "unsafe" do you mean by your definition or the companies. Big difference.
Bad tires once in awhile. Questionable transmission on some manuals. They had a lot of old trucks when I started in 90. Nothing major, but they all had they’re issues. Daily struggle for the mechanics. LolHas anyone been forced to drive unsafe trucks?
You survived. Can't be unsafe.Has anyone been forced to drive unsafe trucks?

You can take the truck to shop and have a mechanic either RED TAG it or repair the safety issue.

Why don’t you make us all happy and leave? This new member will probably leave now as this place is a waste of time.
Honestly no and management respect it when you stand by the standards set by the company and insist upon having proper equipment.Has anyone been forced to drive unsafe trucks?
Yep. It's not hard to enforce ... except for the suckasses who always get ansy about "late air" and "their customers" ... You don't gotta be a "tough guy"; you just have to stand your ground.Once you take that vehicle out on the road it’s on you, keep the ball in their court.
Gotta make sure it gets red-tagged.I’ve reloaded package cars many time in my career only to watch some new guy come and take the truck that wasn’t road worthy out at management behest.
