UPS bringing hybrid electric vehicles to Louisville - Business First
United Parcel Service Inc. has put another 200 next-generation hybrid electric delivery trucks on the road in eight U.S. cities, including 20 delivery vehicles in Louisville.
The 200 new hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) join roughly 20,000 low-emission and alternative-fuel vehicles already in use.
UPS currently is training drivers and mechanics in Louisville on the new delivery vehicles, said Michael French, an Atlanta-based spokesman for the company.
