Circle of honor = 5,842 drivers. Total Drivers worldwide = 102,000. 5,842 ÷ 102,000 = 0.0572745098039216. So of UPS drivers; only 5.72.% are safe drivers / Circle of honor. $53 Million yr. spent on safety. $70,000 yr. average Driver pay. $53,000,000 ÷ $70,000 = 757.142 or 757 more drivers/routes. = smaller dispatch per route & SAFER ROUTES !!! How much total cost spent on supervisors cross the board following us in un marked cars writing reports ? I'm sure that would cover the bennies for the 757 new guys. Shouldn't our priorities be invested in better balanced routes with a true 8 hr. work ? How much $ spent on accidents/injuries that honestly a good percentage is from stress of bad work load Late start/finish, and bad dispatch with a bad trace in E.D.D. ? Do we recall how much UPS pays out to Insurance COMPANY for tier 1,2,3 accidents wether or not Driver at fault ? Total B.S. that Insurance charges UPS regardless of driver @ fault or not, but they do. ROBBERY, not our fault UPS, we don't make the Insurance policy !! Wouldn't we actually save more $ long term by adding routes and safer work loads and earlier punch outs giving Drivers less fatigue ? Think of the cost total for Insurance charges, Repairing or replacing damaged trucks/equipment. All the $ paid to managers tied up in Grievance procedures, $ spent workmans comp,etc..... How much is truly lost because of not enough routes to cover the work and over dispatch, stressed drivers just bound to make a mistake that they wouldn't have if they weren't screwed ? Overtime paid out. etc.................................................................................................................................................................................. Are we really saving $, I think we are lossing $$. The big picture is just outside the window. Go take a look. I like #'s 2. l8)
