UPS Executive: US Government Must Offer Incentives To Boost Exports - Smart Money

The U.S. government must offer incentives to domestic businesses to help meet President Barack Obama's goal to double exports over the next five years, a senior United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) executive said Tuesday.

"There have to be incentives for U.S. businesses to develop products to be sold in different parts of the world," Daniel Brutto, president of UPS International, told an industry conference.

Brutto told Dow Jones Newswires that the incentives should be "ones that create jobs in the U.S." He said he lobbied for creating such enticements to U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke.
