Build some more package cars! Or are appearances not as important as some pocket change??
Why pay for trucks that will sit most of the year?
would be nice to have spares drivers would be willing to use so we can take the time to do a thorough job. Lot less anxiety to have for what little caring you have left in Automotive.
Maybe that is the reason why UPS is worth 87 billion. Wise use of finances.
Glad you don't run this company
We could have paid for quite a few new ones with all the money we are putting down a rathole on the VT365 powered cars.
You're just a mechanic what do you know? Lol
Were you unaware of the fact that ups is now in the pckage car building business?
Think of a better thread because this one is useless...
@duckman is not amused
I know...nobody asked me.
@duckman is worth 88 billion...
amazon is worth 3times UPS..........
UPS makes dollars, not sense.
I heard on the radio today uber is worth 65 billion and thats a cab company...
Amazon has buildings and a service, UPS has airlines, freight vehicles, insane amount of delivery vehicles, mostly all paid for.
Amazon stock is good now because of the holidays and this talk always goes around. Take a look at our airline operation and the rest of our delivery operation. UPS didn't survive the great depression because they're stupid.
Maybe they could use the extra package cars as ice cream trucks in the summer
This is why we offer economics classes.
So paying yearly for depreciation of vehicles, registration, insurance, maintenance, places to store vehicles.....for 3 to 4 weeks of use for the year. Rental is the only and wisest option.
it doesnt matter. UPS is going to slowly phase out the package division. they are more profitable with logistics and real estate. less labor.
