Hoping somewhere here can point me in the right direction. I am trying to help my brother with his STD claim while he is undergoing Chemotherapy.
A quick background... My brother works part time for UPS in Orlando (Teamsters Local 385). Last month he found out that he had a cancerous growth that required immediate chemotherapy, with treatment lasting roughly 3 months. He notified UPS of his illness and provided the requestedmedical certification. Within a few days they notified him that he was not eligible for FMLA, because he did not work enough hours in the last 12 months, but that he was eligible for UPS Family and Medical Leave, and UPS Non-Administered Union STD.
The UPS Family and Medical Leave is pretty easy to understand, but my brother only has one week left of leave under this program.
Starting next week, my brother will be under the UPS Non-Administered Union STD, and I am having issues trying to locate a summary of this policy.
Does anyone here know where I would be able to find this?
