At least one of the Yemeni package bombs discovered last month was timed to blow a cargo plane out of the sky over the Eastern seaboard, British officials said Wednesday.
The bomb, found in England in the hold of a UPS jet already cleared for takeoff to Philadelphia, was addressed to a synagogue in Chicago and hooked up to a cellphone alarm.
