UPS retiree still delivers - as hospital volunteer - NWI Times
Jack Milaskey is a familiar face at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point.
He's been a volunteer at the facility since January 1997, and logs about 21 hours each week.
Milaskey delivers mail from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to 12 hospital departments and to St. Clare Health Clinic, St. Anthony Hospice and St. Anthony Home. He also delivers patient mail three days a week at the hospital.
Milaskey's duties are not surprising considering that he retired from the United Parcel Service with 35 years of service and even volunteers delivering mail one day a week, before coming to the hospital, for the Catholic Diocese of Gary office located in Merrillville.
