I agree with your gist but in reality, the Retailers (Amazon) will have to convince the buyers that it will not happen again.

Bezos will open his pie hole and spout some words of wisdom from on high, and his followers will just bow down to him in awe as they believe everything he says.

I heard an interesting analogy today.
Christmas breakdown at UPS, you can bet someone at UPS, Amazon, and Fed ex is getting an ass chewing, and has someone to answer to.
People are getting refunds, gift cards, trying to right the ship.
You will get nothing in return for failed Obamacare, no one will get fired, and no one will answer to anyone, and our gift of great healthcare will not arrive.
