US retail stores

Over the last few years,I have noticed a lot of US retail stores opening up here in Canada.
First it was Walmart then Home depot, then Lowes.
Now we are getting Target, that bought out our Zellers stores.
Today we went to Marshall's.We had fun there.
I bought swim trunks,some deck shoes,a cool shirt,and a purple tie.
Good prices! I was gonna post this in the Canada thread, but I thought
I'd get more opinions here. Are we being taken over by financially challenged Americans
that have finally realized the market here? It's probably cuz we're too polite,
and just agree to avoid another war :)

As far as I'm concerned you can keep all those big box stores (ESPECIALLY Walmart, Home Depot and Lowes. Give me a good old Mom and Pop store anyday.
