Vacation time is figured based on your hire date, but I don't know how it works going from management to full time ground. From part time insider to full time they do some sort of split on your years, but that may be a local or regional issue, so you'll have to talk to a steward to get the low down. And yes, being a sup before going ground driving extends progression by a year for every time you got caught doing bargaining unit work.
