Not really. Only orders over $35 get free shipping.

I get free shipping without that membership fee... shrugs. Was shopping for tires & shipping was free (via UPS). They were cheaper than ebay for a change... (getting rid of donut spares and using full size wheels)

Just like any other big retailer, they'll use any shipper they want.

About half of my cargo was just blue boxes and white plastic bags on Saturday.

I'm pretty sure their extra leverage is free grocery/in-store item pickup. They have pickers roam the store now with a basket cart combo thingy.

It was also very recently they dropped us for fedex in our area. We all know why, can't have union thugs mingling with their employees.
