War what is it good for? Absolutely nothing

Apparently the US has zero influence on world affairs because angry people around the globe are beating the war drums and the US taxpayer will be paying the freight with your future. Send the politicians and their political donors to fight. That will shut em up.

We're not at war. But we do have interests to protect.

We've gone off on adventures based on lies. That was bad. What's happening now is not that.

Isolationism is a terrible strategy.

apparently israel is fighting 3 wars at once.

dont fund these guys. lets protest for reasonable wars and peace.

war with iran could be used as cover for ethnic cleansing of palestinians.

things could get out of control. one of the world wars was started by symbolic (i forget the word) attacks between germany and UK and then it got out of control. this could also lead to more countries getting nukes like egypt, turkey, and iraq i believe was the 3rd one.

A little disingenuous to cherry pick some Opinion pieces, took me 30 seconds to do the opposite

Even opinion pieces endorsing Trump

View attachment 499441

This isn't an endorsement piece. It's a descriptive piece.

First paragraph:

"Anti-Trumpers like me see the presidential election as a reckoning for American democracy. For many Donald Trump supporters, it is a simple matter of dollars and cents."

No, facing down the Nazis and then the USSR made us into a superpower.
Wrong, our industrial might was built in the inter and pre-war periods when we followed a non-interventionist policy
Someone is ALWAYS coming for our lunch whether we like it or not.
Paranoia, we are on a whole other continent with two oceans protecting us and two weak neighbors, nobody is coming for us
Ideals are peaceful. History is violent.
Yeah that's great, but violent ideals are ideals too

Who exactly is "coming for us" and how exactly are they going to defeat us?
How is starting tons of brushfire wars to kill millions of innocent people going to stop someone from "coming for us"?

Pretending to be some hard nose war hawk doesn't make the threat real

Paranoia, we are on a whole other continent
Just the thinking that lead to Japan seeing an opening in ‘41. We were caught flat-footed then and are getting complacent now.

Our adversaries don’t have to openly attack us on our “whole other continent” to hurt our interests and sand down our power and influence. They can attack our friends and make better friends with our allies.

Isolationist foreign policies don’t mean we just get a free meal ticket to peace and prosperity.

Isreal has no choice at this point but to finish what they have started.
