[QUOTE="bacha29, post: 4563404, member: 58386"] "Christian based"? Hahahaha! If it's Christian based then why are so many "Christians" republicans? Franklin Graham will use every opportunity to use public airwaves to demonize Democrats but at the same time he freely accepts every dollar of donations he can get from anyone including those whose incomes are to a considerable degree if not entirely attributable to Social Security which in turn has made him a millionaire. Bob Dole started out in the where he tried to filibuster the in an attempt to get the Medicare back into committee where he believed that he had the votes to kill it. Now in their late 90's I wonder who's taking care of old Bob and Liz now? During his non apology apology Congressman Yoho let it slip out that for a number of years he and his wife lived on food stamps. A government program that kept them from starving to death. Yet every time an appropriations providing money for food stamps comes on the floor for a vote....he votes against. The New Deal and The Great Society were not "Christian based" . If so the benefits could quite possibly have been designed for and limited to "Christians" Instead it was a political movement not a religious crusade. Oh yeah, we hear the same old response from "conservatives". "I paid into it. I paid into it". Yes they did but somebody had to first overcome bitter "conservative" opposition in to get it passed into law. Oh yeah, "conservatives' including "Christians" will go on bashing and condemning the left appeasing their self righteousness but every time the left can get passed into law a piece of legislation that can create a better quality of life for "conservatives" and "Christians" they have and will continue to be there fighting for every nickel they can get.
