[QUOTE="browniehound, post: 1029320, member: 4653"] Ya know what? I don't really have a really bad one and I know really bad ones because I've covered 30 or so routes over the years. Every cover driver absolutely hates my route. They call it the worst route in the building etc. I actually like my route and I'm thinking these cover drivers have never really done a bad route. Yes, my route can be a bear sometimes, but what route isn't? I'm going to explain why its not such a bad run. First, the customers are great. I can't even think of one jerk on the route and most help me with loading/unloading. Second, sometimes I can go an entire day without touching the two-wheeler and most days I only have to use it once or twice. Believe it or not, when I have to use the two-wheeler its mostly for over 70lb house calls or the QVC lady getting 30 packages in one day. And this brings me to another good point and that is I have a lot of docks on my route and this is how I del. and PU 80% of my business. Yes, I may have too many house calls but that is the only thing I can think of that could be better about the route. I do have many heavy parcels on the truck. More than average at least. But again, they mostly go on the docks. Lastly, there is not 1 elevator on my route and no up or down stairs. Not one! and no stairs! So when the question was asked "what is your worst stop on your route" I thought about it and said to myself "compared to the worst stop on every other route I've done I really don't have a bad stop". And its true. I don't have any of that 60 cases of paper going to the 6th floor etc. The worst I get is a dock pick-up averaging 60 pieces a day and its all big stuff filling the shelves of my 1200 50%. But its not so bad because 2-3 employees help me and we form a line and get it filled in less than 5 minutes. Really, how bad can my route be? EVERY cover driver HATES it and I can't figure out why.
